Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness The second 2019 Episcopal Church & Visual Arts exhibition - Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness - was curated by Tobias Stanislas Haller BSG, iconographer, visual artist and musician. He writes that the 27 contributing artist have found ways to create a visual "Museum of Common Prayer" in dialogue with texts from the Book of Common Prayer, the Bible and the Hymnal. The virtual Museum consists of five Galleries, each with seven images.
It is "...the beauty of holiness mirrored in the holiness of beauty, the union of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful as a pointer towards the ineffable and inexpressible that is beyond our grasp -- but as close as every breath we take." |
